Boca missed the Cup final!

Just three days after winning the championship, Boca fought for the final of the Copa Argentina. However, the “Genoese” will not have the opportunity to win the “triple” crown, since the previous night they were eliminated by Patronato, after penalties, with a total score of 4:3.

Boca is full of self-confidence and welcomed this semi-final as a big favorite, but the club from Parana managed to make another surprise and ensure the fight for the first major trophy in the club’s history.

Ibarra opted for a changed squad after an exhausting fight for the title, and Patronato was able to take advantage of that.

Marcelo Estigarribia put Patronato in the lead in the 32nd minute, but seven minutes later Sebastian Villa scored to make it 1:1.

Since there was no change in the score until the end of the regular part of the match, the penalty shootout was started.

There, the more successful Patronato reached the final, thanks to goalkeeper Altamirano (who saved three penalties), where Talleres Cordoba awaits.
