Bayern Munich want Hansi Flick after Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner turns down job

Bayern Munich will turn to Hansi Flick to fill the vacant role left by Thomas Tuchel this summer, a report has claimed.
That comes after Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner seemingly turned down an approach from the Bavarian giants.

“Hansi Flick is in pole position to become Bayern Munich’s new head coach after the German giants’ interest in Oliver Glasner was rebuffed by the Austrian,” writes the Mirror.
“Some of Europe’s elite coaches have been linked with the top job at the Allianz Arena in recent months as Tuchel’s exit draws nearer. But interest in the likes of Xabi Alonso, Ralf Rangnick and Erik ten Hag has failed to come to fruition – and another familiar name has now ruled himself out of contention for the role.
“According to Sky Sports, Glasner had been targeted by Bayern following his impressive start to life in the Premier League with Crystal Palace – but the 49-year-old will not be engaging in talks with them.
“Glasner is the second Premier League boss to rebuff interest from Bayern following Ten Hag. However, the report goes on to outline that Flick is now in talks to return to Munich for a second spell in charge. The former manager of the German national team won Bundesliga titles with Bayern before standing down from his role at the end of the 2020/21 campaign. Flick, 59, has been unattached since he was sacked by the German FA back in September 2023.”
