FAILED TRANSFER: Barcelona gave up on the Brazilian

Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino will leave the club from “Anfield” at the end of the season, and after information appeared in the media that the Brazilian could strengthen Barcelona, this will apparently not happen in the summer.

The Brazilian’s contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season, and after the interest of many clubs, one had to give up.

After the match with Nottingham, Liverpool’s coach pointed out that the club already has a replacement for the Brazilian in the form of the Dutchman Cody Gakpo.

Barcelona was in a pole position when it came to the transfer of Firmino, but according to the Spanish media, it had to give up.

“The problem lies in the financial demands of the 31-year-old footballer, which exceed the capabilities of the club from the Camp Nou stadium,” says Spanish journalist Gerard Moreno.

The main goal of the Barcelona management in the next transfer window will be the return of Lionel Messi, and because of this, the Catalan camp is calculating when it comes to other transfers.

Since arriving at Liverpool from Hoffenheim in 2015, Firmino has played 360 matches and scored 109 goals.
