The former ace of Tottenham and Real Madrid, Gareth Bale, shocked the public this afternoon when he announced that he was officially retiring from football!
The experienced Welsh football player announced everything on social networks.
“After careful consideration, I am announcing my immediate retirement from the club and international football. I feel fortunate to have achieved my dream of playing the sport I love. He gave me one of the best moments of my life. A peak of peaks over 17 seasons that will be impossible to repeat regardless of what the next chapter has in store for me.”
Not only has Bale retired from club football, but he will no longer represent Wales.
“From my first touch at Southampton to my last at Los Angeles Galaxy and everything in between, I have shaped my club career with incredible pride and satisfaction. “Playing and wearing the captain’s armband for my country for 111 matches is a dream come true,” Bale wrote, thanking all teammates, coaches, clubs, agents, friends, and family for their support throughout his career.

During his playing career, Bale wore the shirt of Southampton, Tottenham, Real Madrid, and Los Angeles, where he ended his career after only 12 matches played. However, he had an active contract for another year.
Bale has a very rich treasury of trophies and won five Champions Leagues, three Premier Leagues, one Copa del Rey, one Spanish Super Cup, three European Super Cups, three Club World Cups, and one MLS Cup.
The fast-footed footballer is one of the best footballers of all time in the Wales national team, which led to the greatest successes.
He played 111 games for the national team with 41 goals and participated in the last World Cup in Qatar.
Now in peace, Bale will be able to devote himself to golf, which was more important to him than Real Madrid…
