Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti pointed out that he is satisfied with the results in the first part of the season despite yesterday’s defeat against Rayo Vallecano (3:2).
“We are just entering the break for the World Cup after so many games, but this first part of the season is still very good. As for the game, I admit that we did not manage to provide the same intensity as Rajo and that we should have changed the way we played in some phases of the game. We made mistakes. We lacked the strength that our rival had. The quality was not enough for the match,” Ancelotti said.
The trophy coach admits that the players feel tired.
“We are not fresh because we have played many games. We weren’t fresh, we weren’t as good as before, but that’s normal. The league is very long. We are disappointed to lose the lead. It’s not a physical problem. We had strategic problems. I have no problem with throwing in long balls and I think we should have done that more than once”, concluded the coach of Madrid.
