Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti believes that Argentine footballer Lionel Messi is not the best player in the history of football.
At the recently concluded World Cup, Messi won the title of world champion in football with the Argentina team.
“I know that in Karim Benzema I have a highly motivated player and I am convinced that he will bring us a lot of good things in the rest of the season. It is not fair to say that Messi is the best player in the history of football, because every period has great players. I am definitely training the ‘Golden Ball’ – Benzema,” Ancelotti said at a press conference in Madrid.
The Italian expert claims that all Real players are in good condition, but added that Luka Modric, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurélien Tchouameni will not play in the match against Valladolid.
“We managed to bring back Benzema, who is extremely important for us. Everyone who was on vacation came back in good condition, but I will give priority to those who were with us during the World Cup,” said the Italian expert.
Ancelotti pointed out that he did not receive an offer from Brazil for the position of coach, which was vacant after Tite’s departure from that position.
“They didn’t call me, but I’m glad to see that they’re interested. My situation is clear. I am Real’s coach and I would never end my cooperation with this club,” Ancelotti concluded.
