The 360 Sports Malta Premier League got off to a roaring start with six matches across three days at the National Stadium and the Tony Bezzina Stadium. We had all sorts of results but the best games were undoubtedly the two 3-3 draws which provided thrills and spills right till the very end.
The opening match saw Birkirkara and Balzan in an exciting 3-3 draw with a number of penalties throughout the match. The second match on Friday saw Sliema Wanderers beat Mosta in a rather one sided match and which confirms Sliema’s credentials as a contender for the title this season.

Saturday’s round of matches saw Melita give last season’s runners up Floriana a huge run for their money with a 3-3 draw and the equalizer coming in the last minute of stoppage time. Hibernians also suffered a scare against Naxxar Lions but turned the result around.
Sundya’s games at the Tony Bezzina Stadium saw Hamrun Spartans start their campaign with a fine 3-1 victory over newly promoted Zabbar St patrick. Gzira United produced a dramatic last minute winner to see off Marsaxlokk in the last match of the weekend. What’s sure is that the 360 Sports Malta Premier League is off with a bang.
