San Ġwann Tiki Taka A have been crowned 2024/25 Blackball Regional League champions after a thrilling 11-9 win over Qormi Anici Boys in the final, organised by the Malta Blackball Federation.
Both teams had a strong season, and the final lived up to the excitement. San Ġwann started well and held a narrow lead for most of the match, but Qormi kept pushing and stayed in the game until the very end.
The decisive moment came when Troy Zammit potted the final ball, sealing the win and setting off celebrations from San Ġwann players and supporters.
The winning team included: Keith Caruana, Gabriel Vella, Troy Zammit, Dwight Charles, Liam Mifsud, Matthias Debono, and Jason Grech.
The trophy was presented right after the match, with San Ġwann Tiki Taka A officially lifting the title.
It was a busy week for Maltese blackball, with five finals taking place. Other winners included Ħamrun 147 A (Cisk Premier League), Ħamrun 147 C (Regional League), PL Balzan (Community League), and Siġġiewi Montekristo (Amateur Cup).
