


The 2024 Blackball World Championships were officially declared open earlier today during a short opening ceremony that was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Qawra.
In total there are 82 teams participating coming from 16 countries. The categories trange from the U15 up to the Overs. There is also a category for the ladies. Originally a team from Libya had confirmed also their participation but the team failed to make their way to Malta.

The opening ceremony was hosted by the International Blackball Federation President Gillian Rolston. Philip Gatt the President of the Malta Blackball Federation and the Hon Clifton Grima Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation addressed the ceremony and augured good luck to all the players especially to the Maltese contingent.
Several games from the 2024 Blackball Championships are being broadcast on TVMSport+ and also on the YouTube channel of the Malta Blackball Federation.
