The South African Blackball Federation has won the rights to host the 2026 Blackball World Cup. The prestigious tournament will take place in Cape Town, where top international players in this sport will gather to compete for glory and national pride.
Since its establishment in 2019, the South African Federation has worked tirelessly towards this goal, launching several initiatives including the creation of national championships, referee certification programs, and development schemes.
Malta hosted the Blackball World Cup for the very first time in its history last November. As usual, Malta’s top players are expected to take part in the upcoming tournament, which will be held between the 24th of October and the 1st of November, 2026.

In a statement, the Malta Blackball Federation congratulated the South African Federation and expressed its eagerness to participate in the championships. At the same time, the MBF looks forward to continued collaboration with the local government to secure financial support for the Maltese national teams, especially since the 2026 edition will be held outside Europe.
Meanwhile, this year’s edition will take place in the Irish capital, Dublin.
