The Malta Blackball Federation has announced the players who will represent Malta in the 2025 European Blackball Championship, which will take place in Ennis, Ireland. Seven national teams will compete across different categories, all hoping to progress to the final stages of the tournament.
The Men’s A Team, coached by Clevion Micallef, includes Mevrick Zammit, Miguel Amato, Johan Attard, Clint Azzopardi, Clayton Attard, Leon Azzopardi, and Clayton Castaldi.
The Men’s B Team, led by Philip Gatt, features Shaun Attard, Glenn Axiaq, Wayne Pace, Gabriel Vella, Luke Said, and Gilmoure Scicluna.
The Seniors Team (Over 40s) includes Lee Grima, Stephen Mangion, Raymond Caruana, Chris Tabone, Joseph Tabone, and Antoine Schembri, with Darren Micallef as coach.
The Seniors B Team (Over 40s) is made up of Kevin Schembri, Jason Mangion, Jesmond Schembri, Bernard Borg, Sandro Bartolo, and Antoine Aquilina, under coach Christopher Busuttil.
The Grandmasters (60+) Team features John Lombardo, Marcel Micallef, Mario Spiteri, and Manuel Saliba, coached by Teemor Mifsud.
The Under-23 Team, coached by Kyle Zammit, includes Steven Muscat, Chaylon Castaldi, Matthias Debono, Liam Mifsud, Neil Caruana, and Nordai Desira.
The Under-15 Team consists of Jake Castaldi, Denzel Falzon, Dielyn Edwards, and Nick Muscat, with Robert Attard as coach.
The European Championship will be held in Ennis, Ireland, from 8 to 16 November 2025.
