The Czech basketball player, Jan Vesely, officially left the ranks of Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce is the current champion of Turkey, as they defeated Anadolu Efes in the final, and after that they lost coach Aleksandar Djordjevic and several players.
Djordjevic was succeeded by Greek expert Dimitrios Itoudis, and one of the basketball players who left the team was the “flying Czech” Jan Vesely.
It is very difficult for me to write these words. Our journey is coming to an end after eight years. I would like to thank you for making this place home for me and my family, “Vesely wrote on Instagram.
It was an honor to give blood, sweat, and tears for the jersey you all love so much. For the jersey I fell in love with during my stay here. Fenerbahce will always be deep in my heart. “I can’t wait to return to Turkey one day, because Istanbul and Fenerbahce will always be my home,” he added.
Vesely won the Euroleague with Fenerbahce in 2017, four Turkish championship titles and three national cups.
According to numerous media reports, the former Partizan basketball player will continue his career in Barcelona.
