The USA basketball team will play two games in Abu Dhabi this summer as part of preparations for the World Cup in the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia.
USA Basketball has announced an agreement with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, and as part of that deal, they will bring Germany and Greece there for games to be played in August.
The USA team will play against Greece on August 18, and two days later against Germany. Greece and Germany will play on August 19.
The federation will announce the list of players for the preparations for the World Cup in the summer, before the squad gathers in Los Angeles under the guidance of coach Steve Kerr and his assistants.
The World Cup will be held from August 25 to September 10 in the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia. The USA team will play all games in Manila.
The draw for the World Cup will take place on April 29.
