American basketball player Tyreke Evans can return to the NBA league floor after his two-year suspension expired this month.
He was suspended two years ago because he “failed” a doping test, which is why, instead of a new contract, he was punished.
Evans is in good physical shape and it can be expected that some of the NBA teams will be strengthened on Friday, according to American media.
The experienced 32-year-old defender averaged 15.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game before the suspension, and played 594 NBA games. Evans also won the 2010 Rockies Award.
He has played for the Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Hornets, Memphis Grizzlies, and Indiana Pacers.
Anti-doping protocol violations are not common in the NBA, before his case, the last player to be penalized for the same reason was Chris Andersen in 2008.
