The FIBA 3x3 World Tour continues to grow in popularity

In 2024, the FIBA 3×3 World Tour continued to impress, establishing itself as the fastest growing urban sport in the world. Across 17 popular 3×3 basketball locations, top players delivered exceptional performances that captured the attention of fans from all corners of the globe.

This led to a significant increase in social media engagement, with a 46.4% rise in impressions to 366 million, a 76% increase in views to 352 million, and 12 million engagements, surpassing the previous year’s numbers. Thanks to a record number of broadcast partners, the growing global fanbase of 3×3 basketball was able to witness the action-packed FIBA 3×3 World Tour in over 150 countries, ensuring that fans from all over the world could watch their favourite players in action.

The season’s venues were filled with hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic fans, creating a festival-like atmosphere that perfectly combined sports, music, and culture in a way that is unique to 3×3 basketball. From Bahrain and Abu Dhabi to Amsterdam and the Final in Hong Kong, both players and fans contributed to an electrifying season. “2024 has been a momentous year for 3×3, breaking records and captivating audiences worldwide. Looking ahead to 2025, fans can anticipate another exhilarating season of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour, with a similar number of events and an exciting opening event in Utsunomiya on April 26-27.
