Partizan basketball coach Zeljko Obradovic congratulated his players on their victory after a big loss.
In the Arena, the Black and Whites defeated Red Star Meridianbet 92:81 in the 21st round of the ABA League, and at one point they were 20 points behind.
“We watched two different halves. At the first, we were without energy and brains. At halftime I told them that some things had to look different and a couple of them agreed with that, they were determined to turn the game around,’ said Obradovic.
“We looked great in the second half. I would like to congratulate Madar, he is one of the heroes of this victory, he had great energy, he fought and believed until the end. “Tomorrow we will start working on the upcoming match against Efes in the Euroleague,” said Obradovic
He addressed the question why Madar was in the top five when Campazzo was also on the field.
How did he turn the game around? As a coach, I have the right to trust the player, and I trusted him. How many games does Kampaco have in the NBA and Euroleague, and how many does Madar have? It doesn’t happen overnight,’ Obradovic finished
He also had a comment on Dušsko Ivanovic’s statement that Zvezda will eventually beat Partizan.
“I never allowed myself to talk in a way that I knew what someone else was thinking. We have a season in the Euroleague where we depend on ourselves, and in the ABA league we have more wins,’ Zeljko was short.
