HARDEN: The return of Irving is a big deal for us

Brooklyn basketball player James Harden had a great night against the LA Lakers.

Harden led his team to a 122: 115 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, scoring 36 points with ten rebounds and assists, while Patty Mills added 34 points (11-17 for the game, 8-13 for three) and seven assists.

He also became the second player in history to score a triple-double on Christmas Day with 35 or more points, previously done by Oscar Robertson in 1961 and 1963.

– We had other parties like this where it was crowded. A match with Philadelphia. Or a couple more matches at home where the boys managed to find a way to win. Until all of this is over and we have a full lineup, our motto is to find a way to win, which we are doing, said Harden.

With the result 115: 115 in 45 seconds until the end of the match, Harden and Claxton played an all-in combination.

– I took responsibility because I did not attack the racket and pass as in the previous three quarters. We had to calm down, choose a good shot and play solidly in defense. That’s what we did in those 45 seconds. We had a 20 or more point advantage going into the last section, and it should not have been like this. I just wanted to win. That was the only thing that mattered, he said.

Kyrie Irving is expected to return to the court unvaccinated on January 17, specifically against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

– We all obviously know what talent Kyrie has and what it means for the organization and our team. Having him on the sidelines, at least in those matches, will be a great thing for us. He simply makes things easier for all of us, he concluded.
