RETURN FROM THE NBA LEAGUE: Hernangomez is moving to Turkey?

Spanish basketball player Willy Hernangomez could return to European basketball after eight years, and the Turkish Fenerbahce is interested in his services.

Willy Hernangomez successfully played in the NBA for the New York Knicks, Charlotte Hornets and New Orleans Pelicans.

The MVP of the European Championship in 2022 could return to Europe after three seasons in the Pelicans jersey if he accepts Fenerbahce’s offer of 2.5 million per season.

Willy started his career in Real Madrid, but after spending two years on loan in Cajasol Sevilla, he returned to the ranks of the Madrid giants and in 2015 in the ACB League he averaged 5.7 points and had 3.3 rebounds per game.

In the same year, he was announced as the 35th pick in the NBA draft and belonged to the Philidelphia team, which quickly traded him to the New York Knicks.

After a year of getting used to it, he was named “Rookie of the Month” in 2017 when he averaged 12.5 rebounds and 8.5 rebounds per game in April in the Eastern Conference.

In the 2018 season, Hernangomez was traded to the Charlotte Hornets and in the last three seasons he played for the New Orleans Pelicans.
