Euroleague definitely kicked out Russian teams: Race for TOP 8

As it was assumed, the European League decided to expel all Russian teams and annul the results they achieved. It was decided today at the league session.

The Executive Board of ECA shareholders decided to cancel the participation of CSKA, UNICS, and Zenit in the Euroleague and Lokomotiv Kuban in the Eurocup because the situation in Ukraine “did not develop in the desired way”.

As announced by the Executive Board of ECA shareholders on February 28, all matches in the regular season of Russian teams will be deleted from the tables of the Euroleague and Eurocup, the Euroleague said on its official website.

This created a chance for a number of clubs that were out of the playoffs.

Thus, Bayern, Maccabi, and Monaco are now in the positions leading to the quarterfinals of the Euroleague, while the Red Star is ninth on the table with almost 11:13, the same as Monaco, but the citizens of Belgrade were twice defeated by the “Princes”.

Baskonia (10:15), Fenerbahce, and Alba (9:13 each) are also in the game.
