The Joel Embiid Center of Philadelphia, although currently ranked second in the MVP race, hopes to be able to win this accolade this season.
As we already know, the current MVP Nikola Jokic is in the first place.
“If I’m an MVP – great. If I don’t, then I don’t know what to do. I feel like they hate me. I have a feeling that different standards apply to me or the Philadelphia players than to others,” said Embiid.
He often resents the center of Philadelphia as well as his teammate James Harden for taking a large number of free throws.
In the match against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Embiid scored 44 points, 17 of which were from the penalty line.
He averages 30.2 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game this season.
