DURANT AFTER DERBY: I was nervous, I feel the pressure

American basketball player Kevin Durant is satisfied with how his debut performance for the Phoenix Suns went, in which the team from Arizona defeated Charlotte with a score of 105:91.

Durant scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds in this match.

“I feel like I fit in pretty well.” Everyone on the field tried to make me feel comfortable. I just have to ride that wave. I have to keep working hard, and as time goes on, this jersey will look normal on me,” said Durant, who added:

“I was nervous. A new environment, a new situation, and new teammates… I always feel that I have to prove myself to teammates and coaches, regardless of what I did in this league. I feel that the pressure is there every day, the pressure to be who I am”.

And coach Monty Williams is pleased to have Durant on his team.

“It’s great when you can just give a guy the ball and he gets to the spot he wants to and has a good shot,” Williams says.

The Suns are fourth in the West with a record of 34 wins and 29 losses.
