Following Baskonia’s defeat with a score of 93-83 against Monaco in the 20th round of the Euroleague, Coach Dusko Ivanovic shared his post-match reflections with the media. He emphasized the significance of striking a balance between turnovers and steals, identifying it as a pivotal factor not only in the recent game against Monaco but also in several previous encounters. Ivanovic stressed the team’s need to address and improve their performance in free throws, considering it a critical aspect for future matches.
“The first thing is the balance between turnovers and steals; that’s big. Then free throws, that is very important, not only in this game but also in some previous ones. We have to work on that in the future,” Ivanovic explained.
In this particular match, Baskonia encountered challenges, hitting only 11 of 19 shots from the free-throw line and grappling with 19 turnovers, while managing to secure only four steals. These statistics highlight areas that require attention and improvement as Baskonia navigates through the competitive landscape of the Euroleague.
