FIFA and TikTok have announced a first-of-its-kind Preferred Platform agreement to enhance global coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026™. The partnership is designed to provide fans with greater access to content, exclusive behind-the-scenes material, and engagement opportunities throughout the tournament.
Under the agreement, TikTok will host an immersive FIFA World Cup 2026 hub, powered by TikTok GamePlan, where fans can access original content, match information, ticketing details, and interactive features including custom stickers, filters, and gamification elements. The partnership also establishes a global creator programme, allowing selected TikTok creators to share unique behind-the-scenes perspectives such as press conferences and training sessions. Additionally, a wider group of creators will be able to co-create content using FIFA archival footage.
The collaboration offers official FIFA World Cup 2026 Media Partners opportunities to live-stream matches, post curated content, and access exclusive FIFA-produced material. Broadcasters will also have the option to monetise their coverage using TikTok’s premium advertising solutions. TikTok will implement anti-piracy measures to safeguard FIFA’s intellectual property. The partnership is set to run until the end of 2026 and builds on FIFA’s previous collaboration with TikTok during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™, which generated tens of billions of views worldwide.
