The First Phase of the BOV Youth Leagues concluded this week, with teams battling fiercely for the coveted Top Six spots. While teams in Sections A, B, and C delivered critical results, there were no matches in Section D this week. Here’s a concise summary of the key results and developments:


Section A – Matchday 11 Highlights

  • Naxxar Lions FC 2-1 Birkirkara FC
    • Naxxar topped Section A, securing 27 points with a decisive win over close rivals Birkirkara. Olalekan Qudus Opajobi scored twice in the first half, while Nicholas James Agius pulled one back for Birkirkara late on.
  • Valletta FC 4-2 Pietà Hotspurs FC
    • Valletta claimed second place with a thrilling win over Pietà. Goals from Jerome Baldacchino, Zak Barbara (2), and Klose Azzopardi Conti secured victory. Pietà’s spirited comeback, led by Kian Leonardi’s brace, wasn’t enough, leaving them out of the Top Six.
