Section A – Phase 2 Matchday 9
Floriana Stun Champions Naxxar in Eight-Goal Thriller
Floriana FC bounced back from defeat in style, beating newly crowned champions Naxxar Lions 5-3.
- Quadri Allionida opened the scoring early for Floriana.
- Olalekan Opajobi scored twice before half-time to put Naxxar 2-1 ahead.
- Floriana struck back in the second half with goals from Antiago De Flavia, Nathan Zerafa, and Zayden Marmara, with Allionida also grabbing a second.
- Opajobi completed his hat-trick from the spot, but Naxxar fell to just their fourth defeat this season. Floriana climbed to third place.
Hibernians Escape Drop Zone With Key Win
Hibernians FC earned a vital 2-0 win over Hamrun Spartans, lifting themselves out of the relegation zone.
- Goals from Lyon Abela and Isaiah Chukunyere sealed the win.
- Hibs now sit one point above Balzan ahead of a final-day clash with Pietà.
Balzan Survive Scare vs. San Gwann
Balzan had to fight back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with bottom side San Gwann.
- San Gwann led 2-0 at half-time via Shala Medon and Codie Dullard.
- Warren Borg and a stoppage-time penalty by Gabriel Farrugia rescued a crucial point for Balzan.

Swieqi & Kirkop Win Big to Set Up Final-Day Promotion Clash
With champions Fgura United already crowned, Swieqi United and Kirkop United both claimed emphatic victories to keep their promotion hopes alive.
- Swieqi 6-2 Gzira:
- Doubles from Shazen Magri and Sylvester Siaw led the way.
- Mike Hudson and Gustavo Barazarte rounded off the scoring.
- Swieqi remain second, two points clear.
- Kirkop 7-1 Zebbug:
- Goals from Jamie Cassar, Jordi Vassallo, Zven Polidano, and four others ensured a dominant win.
- Kirkop face champions Fgura next, while Swieqi take on Zebbug.
Sirens Demolish Zabbar to Relegate Attard
Sirens FC produced a stunning 5-0 win over Zabbar St Patrick, condemning Attard FC to relegation from Section B.
- Goals came from Hafiz Akadom (2), Hasan Degabriele, Karl Midolo, and Trezeguet Zammit (pen).
- Sirens ended with 10 men after Krist Borg was sent off, but the result was never in doubt.
