BNF U15 Knockout Semi-Finalists confirmed after thrilling quarter-finals

The BNF U15 Knockout competition continued over the weekend, with four teams securing their places in the Semi-Finals after an action-packed set of Quarter-Finals.

Hibernians FC 4-0 Naxxar Lions FC
Hibernians cruised past Naxxar Lions with a dominant 4-0 victory. After a slow start, the Paolites broke the deadlock in the 39th minute through captain Jayden Roe, before Jaden Farrugia doubled their lead just before halftime. Farrugia struck again in the second half, with Kirsten Camilleri sealing the comfortable win.

Melita FC 2-2 Attard FC (5-4 after penalties)
Melita needed a penalty shootout to overcome a determined Attard side. Nicholas Busuttil and Denzil Micallef scored for Melita, while Kieran Zammit Gaffarena and Angus Borg netted for Attard, sending the match to penalties. Melita held their nerve to win 5-4, with Eman Ellul missing the decisive spot-kick for Attard.

Balzan FC 3-2 Marsaskala FC
Balzan staged a dramatic comeback to edge Marsaskala 3-2. Marsaskala took a 2-0 lead with goals from Shaun Saliba Seychell and Paul Caruana, but Balzan fought back through captain Zachary Arab Chetcuti, who scored twice. In the dying moments, Luca Sceberras netted the winner to complete the turnaround.

Hamrun Spartans FC 3-0 Valletta FC
Hamrun upset Valletta with a 3-0 victory, avenging a previous league defeat. Declan Roosevelt Zammit opened the scoring, while Valletta’s Lee Bonanno was sent off before halftime. Hamrun capitalized on their advantage with goals from Elias Aquilina and Zyanick Brincat, securing their place in the Semi-Finals.

The Semi-Final lineup is now set, with Hibernians, Melita, Balzan, and Hamrun battling for a place in the final.
