Brazilian and PSG forward Neymar has come to the defense of his compatriot Antony, telling him not to change his style of play after being criticized for belittling his opponent in a Europa League match.
For days, Antony has been under fire from the football public because he performed a “pirouette” and dribbled into space in the match against Sheriff with the score 0:0, and then made a mistake during the pass.
His move was not liked by the “red devils” coach Eric Ten Hag, who took him out at halftime of that game as a punishment, nor by the former United player Paul Scholes, who called Antony a “clown”.
Another legendary English footballer, Robbie Savage also criticized the Brazilian.
– Antonio’s antics are funny. If I were the manager, I wouldn’t be happy – said Savage.
However, the captain of Brazil, Neymar supported his colleague from the national team.
– Just keep going, don’t change, go ahead, boldly and with joy – wrote Neymar on social networks
This summer, Antony arrived from Ajax to Manchester United for 95 million euros.
