German tennis player Alexander Zverev advanced to the second round of Roland Garros, after defeating Lloyd Harris from South Africa 7:6, 7:6, 6:1 in three sets.
Zverev, the 27th tennis player in the world, reached victory over the 294th player on the ATP list after two hours and 40 minutes of play.
He broke the opponent’s serve three times, allowing one break on the other side.
In the second round, Zverev will play against Slovakian Alex Molcan, who defeated Frenchman Hugo Gaston 3:0 in sets 6:1, 7:6, and 6:4.
Molcan won after two hours and 25 minutes of play. Australian Max Parcell and Argentinian Gennaro Alberto Olivieri secured their place in the second round today.
