Zverev has bad news again

Alexander Zverev, a tennis player from Germany, will not play in the Davis Cup group stage.

The German has been out of action since the semifinals at Roland Garros, when he injured his ankle in the match he played with Rafael Nadal.

The selection in which Zverev was supposed to be will play against France, Australia, and Belgium, but it looks like the German will be without him, because he now points out that he has a cruciate injury that causes him a lot of pain and he is not sure if he will return to the field in a few weeks or months.

Instead of him, Yannick Hanfmann will play for the German selection, coach Michael Kolman said.

-” The fact that Alexander cannot play is painful both for him and for us. He is a player who makes a difference and his retirement will make it difficult for us to reach the final in Malaga,” Kolman said.

Zverev believes he could return by the end of the season.
