Stefanos Tsitsipas looks more ready for the Masters in Miami than he was for Indian Wells.
“I worked a lot to get better and feel better. I’m going in the right direction. I feel relieved because I have been struggling a lot for the last few days. Yesterday was a good training session, I had good feedback”, Tsitsipas began.
In the second round, the Greek will play a match against the better of the duel O’Connell – Gasquet.
“I hope to be close to 100 percent by Friday or Saturday. And even if I don’t, I know that I did my best to be ready for this tournament.”
He also touched on psychological preparation.
“I’m more open and relaxed, less introverted, especially compared to the last three or four years I’ve been on Tour. I was very disciplined, and I still am, but I also know that I can relax. I used to spend two weeks locked in a room, in my own world, and now I allow myself more freedom. I think it gave me a lot and allowed me to grow as a person, but it prevents me from focusing 100 percent on tennis every week”, concluded Stefanos Tsitsipas.
