Federer's Perspective on Djokovic's Achievements: Novak is Incredible and Will Continue Pushing the Boundaries

While Rafael Nadal has made two statements about Novak Djokovic’s record, Roger Federer remained silent. However, today he finally spoke up.

The Swiss tennis legend decided to share his thoughts on Djokovic’s 23rd Grand Slam victory.

What Novak has accomplished is truly incredible. It’s not only great for tennis but also for the sport when players like Serena Williams, Rafa, myself, and now Novak write their own history. It’s an exciting time to be a tennis fan and player,” Federer expressed.

Federer firmly believes that Djokovic will continue to push the boundaries of the sport for a long time to come.

“I remember when I started on the tour, Pete Sampras and I each had 14 titles. I thought that would be the record forever. Then I won 15, reached 17, and we pushed each other to 20. I don’t remember who reached it first. After that, Rafa reached 22. Now, Novak has surpassed that with 23, and it seems like he will continue to push the limits for a long time, which is fantastic. I wish him all the best,” Federer stated.

What fascinates Federer, as well as others, is the fact that Djokovic, at the age of 36, seems to be performing at his peak.

“Moreover, the way Djokovic does it… We tend to forget that he’s no longer very young. He may look young and perform with the energy and enthusiasm of a young man, but it’s not easy. I think it was an incredible win, and I am extremely happy for him,” Federer concluded.
