Djoković: I wasn't the best in the first set, but I expected that

With the victory, Novak Djokovic started his campaign for the ATP tournament trophy in Monte Carlo. The first obstacle on the way was the Russian Ivan Gakhov, who was defeated in two sets.

The Serbian tennis player did not excel in the first set, so he entered the tie-break.

However, as it usually happens, when you play with Novak, the winner is known even before the first point.

“We can probably say that it was worse tennis because I wasn’t the best in the first set, because of the conditions I expected it that way, we trained differently and it wasn’t easy… “Like a match on clay, the ball bounces differently and unpredictably, but all in all I’m satisfied with the way I got my head in order and made it to the next round,” said Novak Djokovic.
