Under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson, Forlan contributed to the club’s success, winning the Premier League title in 2003 and the FA Cup in 2004. After 98 appearances and 17 goals for United, he continued his career with stints at Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, and Inter Milan, before playing in Brazil, Japan, Uruguay, India, and Hong Kong.

Forlan also made a significant impact on the international stage, scoring 36 goals in 112 appearances for Uruguay. He was a standout player at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, finishing as joint top goalscorer and helping his nation to a third-place finish. In 2011, he lifted the Copa America trophy with Uruguay.

As Forlan embarks on this new journey in tennis, fans of both sports are eager to see how he translates his competitive spirit from the football pitch to the tennis court.
