Viktor Polasek and Cestmir Kozisek, Czech competitors in ski jumping, are positive for the coronavirus after arriving in Beijing for the Winter Olympic Games, the local Olympic Committee announced today.
Polasek, a former junior world champion, has no symptoms but is in isolation at the hotel.
Kozisek is in the protocol for close contacts, which allows him to train, despite living separately from other athletes and officials.
The men’s ski jumping competition at the Winter Olympics starts on Saturday with the qualifications on the small ski jump, and a day later the final series is on the program.
