Danilo Cremona, a 32-year-old volleyball player originally from Merate, unfortunately lost his life after being struck by a very serious illness on Saturday 20 July while taking part in a beach volleyball tournament in Tuscany. He was hospitalized in Pisa where he passed away earlier today.
According to what has been possible to recollect, the young volleyball player, resident in the city for years, active in the past in As Merate Volley and highly appreciated both as a sportsman and as a person in the local volleyball environment and beyond, suffered his first attack during a match in which he was playing. A second, very serious one, struck him while he was in hospital.
His condition immediately appeared particularly critical.
The terrible news has emerged in recent hours, confirmed by some people close to him and by the messages of condolence that are starting to circulate online, in particular on his Facebook profile wall.
