Qormi Daikin turn defeat into victory

Qormi Daikin turned defeat into victory after beating GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks 3-2 in a very interesting game.

Żurrieq were winning 2-0 until the end of the first quarter although from the second quarter on, the Qriema started to come and after reducing the score and equalizing, even the winning goal arrived.

Carmine Francese and Christ Agius opened a double advantage for Żurrieq while a double by Kyle Micallef and another goal by Shaun Dimech made the score 3-2 for Qormi Daikin.

Umpires were Karl Chircop and Paul Brincat.

In the under-16 league, Marsaskala Heat beat Floriana Young Stars 5-0.

Kyron Carabott scored twice for the Seasouthsiders while Damian Lupu, Alessandro Piscopo and Eyan Toledano added the score for their team.

Umpires were Keith Bajada and Oscar Toledano.

In the under-14 league, De La Salle Young Stars beat Qormi Daikin 8-0.

Dean Spiteri and Gabriel Cordina scored a hat-trick each while Matteo Vella and Luke Pisani continued with their team’s great victory.

Umpires were Oscar Toledano and Dario Cacopardo.

Marsaskala Heat also achieved a great victory after a score of 11-0 against GREE Zurrieq Wolves Hotsticks.

Liam Carabott netted a poker while Nathan Lauri scored a hat-trick. Eyan Toledano and Asif Akram scored four more goals between them to register this great score.

Umpires were Karl Chircop and Oscar Toledano.
