Leon Azzopardi won the fourth Nations Cup qualifying tournament after defeating Luke Said 10-8 in the final.
Azzopardi continued to maintain his typical form although he still did not find it easy against a very determined opponent like Said.

This victory helped Azzopardi to play with the Maltese national men’s team so he joined Johan Attard, Clayton Castaldi and Glenn Axiaq.
At the same time there are some players who have already obtained their participation in this international competition with others who have yet to be selected from the next tournaments that have passed earlier.

In the seniors 40+, Stephen Mangion, Lee Grima, Shawn Galea and Duncan Edwards have qualified so far.
Meanwhile, Raymond Caruana, Antoine Aquilina, Jason Mangion and Johan Grixti were the first players to qualify in the over 50 category.
The under 23 team so far is made up of Nordai Desira, Casdy Vella, Chaylon Castaldi and Steven Muscat.

Nick Muscat, Jake Castaldi, Denzel Falzon and Dielyn Edwards are the first four players in the under 15 category.
During this week the fifth qualifying tournament is being played in order to determine more places with the Maltese national team that will compete in Bridlington in a few weeks.
