Qormi Daikin continued their strong form this hockey season with a comfortable 4-1 win over Floriana Young Stars.
The team, coached by Andre Ghio, were in control from early on and built a three-goal lead by the end of the second quarter. Floriana later pulled one goal back, but Qormi stayed calm, scored again, and secured all three points.
Young player Luke Bajada and Dutch forward Tommy Kok both scored twice for Qormi, while Thimo Hoft scored Floriana’s only goal.
The match umpires were Alessandro Amore and Silvio Peralta.
In the Hockey 7s competition, GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks defeated Rabat 5-1.
David Vella Dingli scored two goals, with Jayden Cutajar, Nikolai Runza and Stefano Schembri also getting on the scoresheet for Żurrieq. Matthew Buhagiar scored Rabat’s only goal.
The umpires for this match were Keith Calleja and Karl Chircop.
