Over the weekend, teams from various youth and senior categories competed in the annual Knock-Out Finals hosted by the Malta Handball Association. This highly anticipated tournament is a key fixture in the handball calendar, with male and female teams across different age groups battling for the prestigious Knock-Out titles.
The finals took place over two days, featuring intense matchups between Kavallieri Handball Club, Swieqi Phoenix Handball Club, and Shooting Stars Handball Academy. A total of five finals were played across the following categories: Men’s and Women’s Under-15, Women’s Under-17, Men’s Under-19, and Senior Men.
Championship Titles
Swieqi Phoenix emerged as the dominant force, securing victories in all three of their finals and claiming the Women’s Under-15, Women’s Under-17, and Senior Men’s Knock-Out titles.
Meanwhile, Kavallieri Handball Club and Shooting Stars Handball Academy each took home a trophy. Kavallieri triumphed in the Men’s Under-15 category, while Shooting Stars secured victory in the Men’s Under-19 Knock-Out.
The Senior Women’s Final between Kavallieri Handball Club and La Salle Handball Club is set to take place on Wednesday, April 9th, at 19:00 at the Tal-Qroqq University Sports Hall.
