David Attard names 22-player Malta provisional squad ahead of UEFA Euro WU19 Qualifiers

Malta Women’s Under-19 National Team Coach David Attard has unveiled a 22-player provisional squad ahead of the upcoming UEFA Euro WU19 Qualifiers, which will take place over the next week at the Centenary Stadium. Malta has been drawn into Group 6 of League B, where they will face Latvia, Israel and Kazakhstan in what promises to be a demanding test for the squad’s continued development.

The qualifiers come on the back of two friendly matches played last month against Lebanon. Although Lebanon won the opening game 4–2, Malta responded well in the second encounter, earning a 1–1 draw. Despite mixed results, the performances provided valuable preparation and meaningful minutes for Attard’s young squad ahead of this important international window.

Malta will begin their campaign on Tuesday, 25th November at 11:00hrs with a clash against Latvia. The team will then face Israel on Friday, 28th November at 14:30hrs, before concluding their schedule against Kazakhstan on Monday, 1st December at 11:00hrs, all at the Centenary Stadium.

With three competitive fixtures in quick succession, the qualifiers will offer a strong opportunity for the squad to showcase progress made in recent months and to further develop as they continue their pathway in the national team structure.
