The 30th edition of the Visit Malta International Tour of Malta will be held from Friday, 24 April to Sunday, 26 April 2026, bringing together a strong lineup of both Maltese and international cyclists.
Over the years, the Tour has become a staple event on Malta’s sporting calendar, offering local riders a valuable chance to test themselves against international competition on home soil. This experience continues to contribute significantly to the development and competitiveness of Maltese cycling.
Organised under the auspices of the Maltese Cycling Federation, the event will feature participation from local clubs alongside several international teams. Cyclists from United Kingdom, Italy, France, Colombia, and Spain are confirmed to compete, in addition to individual international entrants.
Among the notable participants is Gemma Mitchell of FTP Racing Team, who returns to defend her women’s title after winning last year’s edition.
Race Schedule
The Tour will be contested across three stages:
Stage 1 – Friday, 24 April
An individual time trial will take place in San Ġwann at 10:00am on a 1.11km circuit, with cyclists completing 10 laps.
Stage 2 – Saturday, 25 April
A road race will be held on the 7.84km Golden Bay – San Martin, Malta circuit. Elite riders will complete eight laps, while Women and Masters competitors will race over seven laps.
Stage 3 – Sunday, 26 April
The final road race will take place on the 5.41km St Paul’s Bypass, Malta circuit. Elite riders will complete 12 laps, while Women and Masters participants will complete 10 laps.
Categories
The competition will feature three categories:
- Elite (including Juniors)
- Women
- Masters (40+)
Event Headquarters
The official headquarters for the Tour will be Palazzin Hotel, where several visiting international teams will be based during the event.

Public Cooperation
Organisers are also appealing to the public for cooperation regarding temporary road closures to ensure maximum safety for all riders.
