Malta’s Under-18 girls’ waterpolo team grabbed their second victory at the European Championship after a thrilling 17-15 win over Ukraine.
The Maltese side started off strong, edging the first quarter 5-4. But Ukraine hit back hard in the second, dominating with a 6-1 scoreline.
Despite the setback, Malta didn’t give up. They bounced back with solid performances in the final two quarters, winning them 5-4 and 6-1 to seal the match.
This win follows Malta’s earlier triumph over Ireland in the group stage.
Next up, the team will face Germany in their final group match on Wednesday at 7:30pm.
