The San Ġiljan ASC Men’s Senior Water polo team has departed for Slovenia to continue its European campaign in the Challenger Cup, advancing to Qualification Round 2 of the competition.
San Ġiljan will face hosts AVK Branik Maribor alongside Bosnian outfit VK Banja Luka in what promises to be a highly competitive group stage. A sizeable number of supporters have travelled with the team, further underlining the strong backing behind the club’s continental ambitions.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Giorgos Katsaounis, the squad has intensified preparations in recent weeks, focusing on tactical discipline and match sharpness ahead of this prestigious European assignment. The team is determined to build on its progress and represent Maltese water polo with distinction on the continental stage.
The club extends its appreciation to its sponsors — Daiken, VisitMalta, Il-Pirata Senglea, Il-Pirata Valletta, Manouche, Brunch Bunch and Archway Operators — for their continued support throughout this European journey.
