San Ġiljan ASC suffered a narrow 14–13 defeat to Galatasaray in their penultimate European Aquatics Challenger Cup Final Eight fixture in Istanbul.
The Saints delivered a determined performance in a closely contested encounter, remaining competitive throughout the match against the Turkish side. Despite their resilience and attacking intent, San Ġiljan were ultimately unable to overturn the narrow deficit.
Marko Vavić led the scoring for the Maltese outfit with an impressive attacking display, while Matthew Zammit and Ben Plumpton also contributed crucial goals in a spirited team effort.
