Swieqi United FC will head to Catania this Saturday, 6th September, for their final friendly match before the 2025/26 season begins. The Challenge League team will take on Catania Primavera at the Campo Sportivo Comunale “Antonino Di Guardo” in Ficarazzi, with kick-off set for 6:00pm.
This will be Swieqi’s last chance to prepare before they face Melita in their first Challenge League match on 13th September, the official start of a season where they have high hopes.

The club has been busy in the transfer window, bringing in a mix of experienced international players and promising local talent. New head coach Liam Mangion has strengthened the attack with the signings of Emmanuel Asante, Salam Mawuena, Felipe Souza, Kian Leonardi, Jan Tanti, and Matthew Debattista.
Swieqi have also focused on defence and midfield, adding players like Samuel Okoh, Lucas Okeke, and Saulo Ananias to give the squad more depth and balance.
