Last Saturday the Malta Polo Club organized an activity called Polo For A Cause where two female teams Team Marion Mizzi and Team Dean Gera Salons played against each other. In the four chukkas that took place, it was Team Dean Gera who beat Team Marion Mizzi 7-5.
As the score indicates, the match was very balanced where it was only at the end that Team Dean Gera Salons came out victorious.
Sophie Busuttil scored three goals for the winners, with Pace More’s Gillian Gatt scoring a hat-trick. Rebecca Gera scored two goals with Serena Galea sealing the victory for her team.
Team Marion Mizzi was made up of Abbie Louise Bailey, Ella Rose Parker, Emma Aquilina and Petra Vella while Team Dean Gera Salons had Sophie Busuttil, Serena Galea, Rebecca Gera and Gillian Gatt Pace More.
The aim of this activity was to raise funds for Europa Donna Malta, an organization that helps those families and individuals who are going through problems related to cancer.
