Separated by just a stretch of sea but united by a shared history in the Mediterranean, as well as a love for sport, culture, and traditions, Italy and Malta’s strong relationship is celebrated for the third year by the Noma Award.
The award, organised by Com.It.Es Malta in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Malta, is supported by the LifeStar Malta Marathon.
This year, recognition will be given to individuals in diplomacy, sports, journalism, and business. The ceremony is set to take place on Friday, 21st February at 7pm at the Italian Cultural Institute in Valletta.
A total of 16 awardees will be honoured in the third edition of Noma, with the event being hosted by Federica Bovio, Xandru Greach, and Nino Randazzo.

During the evening, race bibs will also be presented to the Top Runners of the 40th Malta Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, 23rd February, starting from Mdina and finishing in Sliema.
Among those participating this year will be the recent Italian Marathon champion, Oukhrid Lhoussaine, and English Paralympic gold medalist Richard Whitehead, who won gold in both the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and holds the Paralympic World Marathon record.
