The Malta Olympic Committee (MOC) is calling on the public to assist in a special initiative aimed at honouring Maltese Olympians and their invaluable contributions to the nation’s sporting history. As part of an upcoming commemorative event, the MOC wishes to recognize the efforts and achievements of Maltese athletes who have proudly represented the country on the world’s biggest sporting stage.
While efforts to reach out to Olympians and their families have been largely successful, there remain several athletes whose relatives have not yet been traced. Some of these Olympians have sadly passed away, and the MOC is eager to ensure that their families are present at the event to celebrate their legacy and contributions to Maltese sport.
The MOC is therefore appealing to the public for assistance in locating the families of these Olympians to ensure their sporting achievements are remembered fittingly. Any information that could help in establishing contact with the relatives of these athletes would be greatly appreciated.
The public is encouraged to reach out to the MOC with any relevant information by no later than Monday, 17th February, via email at [email protected] or [email protected].
Together, we can honour the legacy of these sporting heroes and celebrate their lasting impact on Maltese sport.
