Europe’s fastest driver and former European Drag Racing Champion Duncan Micallef, a name that resonates with speed enthusiasts, made a monumental announcement today. His decision to participate in the Haltech National Finals is a revelation that has sparked excitement among his fans both locally and across Europe, a privilege for all who appreciate the thrill of motorsport.
Micallefwho, also the President of the Malta Motorsport Federation, announced he would be taking part in the Haltech National Finals between the 14th and the 17th of November at Hal Far Raceway. As in every year, this is the Final and the biggest event of the year, attracting the most significant number of competitors and hundreds of spectators to Malta.
Micallef will be racing his Top Fuel Dragster, the fastest type of car in the world, a car with 10,000 BHP, more than 100 decibels of noise, the quickest car at Hal Far when he reached 303mph and crossed the 1000 feet in 4.03 seconds. Micallef said this year he will be in the finals to go into the 3-second barrier to put the track amongst the best tracks in Europe before the track starts the process for the FIA homologation. Micallef said that in reaching such a goal, one would be required to damage some parts that his team intends to sell, with all the funds collected going to people in need.
