The second day of the Blackball world championships being held in Malta was a positive one for the Maltese teams who recorded a number of wins.
The men’s team completely dominated the match against the Netherlands so much so that they won 21-4 while the Masters team won 16-9 against South Africa and were unlucky to lose 13-12 against Australia.
A great feat was done by the women’s team who won the two games they played as they beat Madagascar 16-9 and Catalonia 13-12.
The Seniors had a very positive game after beating South Africa 19-6 while the Grandmasters 60+ beat Catalonia 17-8 although they lost against Wales when they lost 17-8.
The Maltese under-23 team were defeated by Wales 15-10 while the under-18 team won both games they had against Northern Ireland (14-11 ), against Scotland 13-12 while they lost against South Africa 14-11.
Finally there was great performance from the under 15 team who beat Gibraltar 12-3, Wales 11-4 and Scotland 9-6 to win the three games they played.
